Job Description

The position of city manager is opening due to retirement and presents a great opportunity for a creative, energetic community builder with a desire to be involved in every aspect of the business.

Proud of its small town lifestyle, White Cloud values a way of life amidst nature, where civic improvement is expected, and all residents are heard and respected. It is a politically civil, full-service city established as a council-manager form of government by Charter. The workforce of 13 employees, supported by contractors and authorities, provide municipal services to over
1,400 residents in this community of two square miles.

The city assesses 17.414 mills for operating. With a total taxable value of $15,663,822 from a diversified base, the general fund budget for the 2019 fiscal year was $734,820 with a total for all funds of $1,340,022. The fund balance in the general fund was $330,418 at year end and the fund balance for all funds was over $1,292,251.

White Cloud will offer a competitive compensation package including a starting salary within the range of $65,000 to $73,000, depending
on the qualifications and experience of its next executive.
