Town Manager

Wolfeboro, NH (6,700 pop., with a summertime population of 25,000+), is seeking a seasoned, visionary management professional with a demonstrated record of community connection and engagement, a forward-thinking perspective and fiscal and budgetary skills in providing core services to serve as its’ next Town Manager. The ideal candidate will work with an engaged five member Select Board to support the positive momentum in the Town.
Operating as an SB2 form of government with a five member Select Board and Town Manager, the Town Manager carries out the policies established by the Select Board. With approximately 100 full-time employees, most represented by three (3) collective bargaining units, and 35 seasonal part-time employees, the Town Manager oversees an operating, capital and enterprise fund budget of approximately $36 million of which $20.4 million relates to the General Fund. The Four Enterprise Funds of Water, Sewer, Electric and Pop Whalen (Ice & Arts Center) account for the remaining $15.6 million. There are eight (8) direct reports to the Town Manager, including a Contract Assessor.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A master’s degree and seven (7) years of relevant progressively responsible management experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary range to $225,000; starting salary commensurate with qualifications. An excellent benefits package is also available. Wolfeboro is an equal opportunity employer.
