The City of Pawtucket, RI is seeking a highly qualified HR professional for the Director of Human Resources. This is a newly defined position established to recruit a candidate who will lead the strategic direction for the city's workforce with a population of 75,000 residents. This position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for all aspects of Human Resource management including recruitment and selection, compensation, training, HRIS, payroll administration and employee relations. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative in planning, organizing and supervising human resources functions in compliance with city policies, protocols, state, federal and local laws. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or management-related discipline. SPHR with municipal HR leadership experience preferred.
