Budget Manager

Yavapai County is seeking a candidate with demonstrated ability to oversee the County’s multimillion dollar budget. The Budget Manager is an unclassified management level position reporting directly to the County Manager.

The primary purpose of the Budget Manager is to provide overall planning, administration and implementation of the County’s capital and operating budget process and direct the preparation of budget analyses, reports, and recommendations to the County Manager. Also consults with department directors, county administration and the Board of Supervisors on strategic and business planning.
The ideal candidate will have detailed experience in capital and operating budget process, analysis and reporting, strategic and operational planning, and revenue and expenditure forecasts. The ideal candidate will also mentor and provide technical assistance to County staff and provide training in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budgets.
