The Assistant Director of Utilities and Infrastructure will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing and enhancing the Transportation Division. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position is newly established to drive the development and realignment of transportation strategies within Holly Springs. The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for comprehensive transportation planning, capital design, and construction, as well as collaborating closely regional entities such as the NC Department of Transportation and neighboring communities. The work schedule is business hours with occasional evenings and weekends. The position is in Salary Grade R and salary depends on qualifications.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related degree.
• 4-6 years of related experience with 1-4 years of direct supervisory experience (training and coaching, responsible for preparing evaluations, assigning work, responsible for work of employees you supervise).
• N.C. Professional Engineer (PE) license & Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Construction Management or Engineering are strongly preferred.
