Woodside offers country living at its finest in the middle of Silicon Valley! Known as one of the most beautiful communities in California, the Town of Woodside is located midway between San Francisco and San Jose in San Mateo County. The Town has an extraordinary history of stable leadership and fiscal strength. With the population shifting in recent years to represent more multiple generations, the Council is seeking a leader who can guide priority setting and the shaping of a renewed vision for Woodside’s future.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking and responsive local government professional with experience leading initiatives that have community-wide impact. They will be a strategic and results-oriented leader who understands what it takes to be successful in a small, close-knit community. Impressive experience with community engagement and process and system improvements is desirable. Current or previous experience as a City/Town Manager, Assistant or Deputy, Department Director or equivalent is preferred. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree is desirable.

The Council is committed to offering competitive yet fiscally responsible compensation. Salary is currently under review (incumbent’s salary is $275,000).
