Job Description

The City of Rio Rancho is a young, growing community located in Central New Mexico on the north border of Albuquerque. As the largest city and economic hub of Sandoval County, the City boasts magnificent views of the Sandia Mountain range, excellent schools and a temperate climate. With close proximity to skiing, hiking and numerous outdoor and cultural activities and only 45 minutes from Santa Fe , the community offers a diverse array of housing including entry level, executive and retirement.

The City of Rio Rancho is seeking their next City Manager. This individual will be responsible for administering day-to-day functions of the City with a staff of over 750 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of achievement with five to seven years of progressively responsible experience as a professional city manager, assistant city manager or executive equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree (Master's is preferred) in Public Administration, Business or related field. Expected salary range is $165,000 to $195,000 DOE. Exceptional benefit package.
