Job Description

The City of Indio (pop. 91,000) is located in Southern California in the Coachella Valley and invites applications for the position of City Manager. This career opportunity is available with the announced retirement of its highly regarded City Manager Mark Scott. Indio seeks an experienced, forward-thinking visionary leader. Candidates with strong business acumen who are creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who can hit the ground running are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is an executive with a record of demonstrated accomplishment in economic development, large-scale planning and infrastructure improvements. A candidate with experience working with public safety and water enterprises is a plus. Essential to success is a City Manager who understands and values the needs of the community and is able to connect with people from all walks of life.
