The Town of Orange Park, FL is seeking candidates for the position of Public Works Director. The Town’s Public Works Director will be responsible for oversight in the following areas: equipment/fleet management, streets maintenance, grounds maintenance, and utility operations including water, sewer, and stormwater. The position is responsible for performing professional, administrative, and supervisory work as required, administering a budget of approximately $11 million, and developing and overseeing the Town’s capital improvement program related to Public Works projects. This position reports to the Orange Park Town Manager and interacts with the Town Council, staff, the Town residents, and business professionals. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, public administration or related field. Possession of an active license as a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Florida in accordance with Florida Statute 471 is required, or must be obtained within 6 months if out of state license is valid. Must have at least eight (8) years of responsible, professional administrative experience, four (4) years of which have been at a senior management level.
