Job Description

Cranberry Township (population 32,000), Butler County, PA seeks an experienced leader to serve as its Assistant Township Manager. This position is under the direction of the Township Manager and is responsible for managing operations in the Township, including Public Works (Sewer, Water, Streets, Grounds, Fleet), Planning & Engineering, Fire & Emergency Services, and the public golf course. The position is one of two assistant managers that assists the Manager. The Township’s succession plan anticipates that the Deputy Township Manager will become the new Township Manager, who is retiring after 30 years. The Township is one of the fastest growing municipalities in western Pennsylvania and is extremely financially stable. Total budget is $62m. Candidates should have (1) at least 3 years of municipal management experience; (2) knowledge of modern local government management principles; (3) strong leadership and communication skills; and (4) Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred. Salary $110-125,000 with excellent benefits; actual salary to be based on experience/qualifications.
