POSITION: Contractual At Risk Youth Care Coordinator

LOCATION: Municipality of Norristown


HOURS: VARIES – Maximum of 40 hours per week

EMPLOYMENT: Contract (2 year maximum)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Behavioral Health Discipline, 3 years’ experience in child and adolescent mental health services, basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Law enforcement or related field preferred. Licensed clinician a plus. Spanish speaking a plus. Act 33/34 clearances as provided by Child Protective Services Law 23 PA C.S 16301 and FBI clearances, Adam Walsh Act 147. Valid PA State Driver License.

GENERAL DEFINITION: Navigate and develop strategic planning to coordinate and facilitate the Norristown Child HUB. Establish and maintain professional partnerships with community stakeholders, family and youth serving agencies. Implement evidence based practices that further enhance the partnerships between the Norristown Community, the police department and agencies described above to decrease youth involvement in the juvenile justice system. Manage the data base for the Child HUB and analyze data and outcomes. Oversee legal compliance matters related to confidentiality, protected health information and mandated reporting. Provide professional development and training to the Norristown Police Department as it relates to at risk youth. Available for crisis intervention.
