Job Description

The Tucson Airport Authority is seeking an accomplished executive to lead our new Administration Division as Vice President of Administration/Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

The Administration Division includes Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement, Office of Records and Warehouse Management and plays an integral role providing services across all TAA departments.  Our ideal candidate will have proven success building and leading cohesive teams in complex business environments. This is a perfect opportunity for a collaborative thinker with a knack for service integration and operational effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

The following functions and all other functions not included in this job description are to be performed in the best interests and for the greater good of TAA.

Lead division personnel; establish an atmosphere of customer service and excellence.

Direct,manage and delegate areas of responsibility; establish accountability and performance standards.

Plan, organize, implement and evaluate the work of each assigned department; develop long-term goals and objectives and monitor performance; direct and manage all departmental initiatives to assure that administrative services are provided timely and effectively.

Provide strategic direction to division leadership; ensure the team understands and embraces the TAA strategic framework, and establishes goals and action plans to support the strategic agenda; develop and foster a vision for division leadership; use vision to guide team toward positive, and sustained cultural change.
Review and analyze work methods and recommend changes in division practices and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Direct, supervise and evaluate the performance of employees with established, standardized criteria, recommend training requirements to keep staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives; ensure fairness and consistency in implementing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance or a related field.
Ten years of professional, progressive management and high-level supervisory experience.

A combination of education and years of experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily meet the job requirements will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:

An advanced degree in public administration, business administration, information technology or a related field.
Experience in a public agency or a commercial service airport environment.
