Village Manager
Village of Quincy, MI
The Village of Quincy, Michigan is seeking a new Village Manager.
Quincy is a small community with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Sitting amid Amish Country on Michigan’s border with Indiana and Ohio, Quincy offers an excellent opportunity for an energetic, hands-on administrator with a desire to be involved in every aspect of Village business, setting a course for the future.
Proud of their Midwestern roots and small-town lifestyle, Quincy’s residents value a way of life where the pace may be less frenetic, but volunteers are high-energy and neighbors care for each other. A desirable community where transplants purchase homes sight unseen, Quincy boasts a downtown with locally-owned businesses and colorful murals, a diverse tax base, and a low unemployment rate.
It is a politically civil, full-service village established by ordinance as a council-manager form of government. The workforce of 14 full-time employees, supported by contractors and shared-service agreements, provides municipal services to over 1,544 residents in this community of just over 1.56 square miles.
The Village assesses 10.5639 for operating and another 4.2235 for streets on a taxable value of over $38,551,396 ($12,279,062 is industrial/commercial). The General Fund budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year is $1,604,584, and the total budget approved for the year (including enterprise funds) is $6,301,693.
Quincy seeks a public servant who understands and appreciates the small-town way of life and governance; a visionary individual who can see how all the pieces can fit together to assemble a new picture of the future; who is flexible and adaptable, grabbing hold of opportunities when they appear.
Quincy is offering a competitive compensation package, including benefits, and a starting salary within the range of $72,000–$82,000, negotiable dependent upon the qualifications and experience of its chosen executive.
