The Municipality of Norristown, Montgomery County, seeks a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the full-time, non-exempt Executive Assistant to the Municipal Administrator position. The position entails full-performance, confidential secretarial and administrative work serving the executive level of government. The incumbent of this
position provides a variety of secretarial and administrative functions in support of the Municipal Council and Administration office, including preparing and distributing confidential correspondence, proclamations, resolutions and other documents; scheduling
meetings; answering a variety of calls and receiving residents; coordinating Right-to-Know responses and preparing agendas for council meetings.
Must be able to work effectively with community groups, specific interest groups as well as Municipal Council and Administration. Efficiency in meeting deadlines, detailed oriented skills are required. Fast-paced environment. Administrative Assistant/Secretarial Certificate or high school diploma and five years progressively responsible secretarial and administrative experience including public contact required. Excellent in computer skills applications; Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Associate degree or higher preferred. Salary - $29.5247 per hr.
