ICMA is again partnering with The Ferguson Group to provide a deep dive on this new guidance.

deluge of guidance and interim rules detailing how local governments can access the American Rescue Plan’s $130 billion in direct, flexible aid for local governments has been released in recent weeks. On May 24, the U.S. Department of Treasury released new guidance for the $19.53 billion to support non-entitlement units of local government (NEUs), typically local governments with a population of less than 50,000. To help clarify what this means for local governments, ICMA is again partnering with The Ferguson Group to provide a deep dive on this new guidance.

Continuing the conversation begun on May 17, The Ferguson Group, a Washington, DC-based lobbying firm representing local governments and public agencies, will highlight in this new event:

  • Details of the new Treasury guidance for non-entitlement communities.
  • Updates on frequently asked questions.
  • Strategies for engaging with your state to access funding and meet reporting requirements.

Panelists:

  • Elizabeth Kellar, Director of Public Policy, ICMA
  • Kristi More, Managing Partner for Strategic Development, The Ferguson Group
  • Jennifer Imo, Managing Partner for Client Services, The Ferguson Group
  • Zach Israel, Principal and Manager of Legislative Affair

The panel will respond to live questions if time permits, but participants can submit questions in advance through ICMA’s dedicated American Rescue Act resource page.

Thanks to the sponsorship of ICMA Strategic Partner The Ferguson Group, this webinar is complimentary for ICMA Members.
