Due to weather problems that arose during the 2010 Christmas and New Year weekends, the City of Olathe, KS implemented a new service delivery program, meant to improve response time, save money, and create a more effective system overall. The city adopted the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Unified Command protocol and established a set response by which to address all snow events in the City.
