The Olathe Fire Department’s Mobile Integrated Healthcare program uses patient-centered, mobile resources in the out-of-hospital environment designed to match people in need with the right resources that already exist in the community. It includes services such as providing telephone follow up, alternate resource dispatching; providing community paramedic and mid-level care, chronic disease management, preventive care, post-discharge follow-up visits, and referral to a broad spectrum of appropriate care, not limited to hospital emergency departments.
