ICMA awards Certificates in Performance Management to jurisdictions meeting established criteria for Achievement, Distinction, or Excellence (highest level). All general-purpose local governments are eligible to apply.  Applications for 2021 opened on December 1, 2020, and the application deadline is May 7, 2021. Even if you don't plan to apply this year, you can use these criteria as a roadmap for implementing a first-rate performance management program.
