In response to the redundant code enforcement that the community had been utilizing for years the County of DeKalb knew it was time for a more streamlined system. This initiative required a plan which would lead to the establishment of a consolidated management structure and service delivery. Once implemented the program created a more flexible workplace with the capacity for service delivery across code enforcement functions. The program has been nominated for the 2016 Local Government Excellence Awards in the category of Strategic Leadership & Governance (populations of 50,000 and greater).
