With the public’s demand for more streamlined public services, the need to meet Federal Communication Commission regulations, and to increase operational and economic efficiencies, Dakota County and 11 cities created the Dakota Communication Center. The communication center now serves 27 different public agencies including 14 fire departments, 12 police departments, and 1 paramedic service.
