Throughout the United States, communities are finding innovative ways to deliver the benefits of solar to residents. Whether through bulk photovoltaic (PV) purchasing or sharing a community solar installation, communities are proving there’s power in numbers.

The Aquatic and Fitness Center, which is managed by the Youth, Parks and Recreation Department, is a marquee building for the town.

As partners in the Better Buildings Challenge, a number of local governments, including 12 with ICMA member managers, have made commitments to become 20% more energy efficient by 2020.

This federal support provides a significant incentive for the local community to take critical steps to create viable neighborhood transformation.
