City managers who have experienced devastating tornadoes have been quick to respond to help in hard-hit Oklahoma communities.

A tornado killed at least 24 in Moore and Oklahoma City, including children in an elementary school.

The Weather Channel predicts 16 named tropical storms in the 2013 season, which officially begins June 1. Nine storms are expected to become hurricanes.
