Albemarle County is seeking a Director of Community Development to lead the implementation of major community development policies, programs, and strategies recently adopted by the Board of Supervisors.

This position is ideal for a seasoned planning or zoning professional who excels at translating policy direction into clear, effective processes and consistent results. The Director will play a key leadership role overseeing implementation of the County’s Comprehensive Plan (AC44), modernizing the zoning ordinance, advancing process improvements, and more.

Hiring range for this position is $155,000 - $170,000, DOQ
