The City of Blue Lake is seeking a collaborative and community-focused professional to serve as its next City Manager. This executive role is appointed by and reports directly to the City Council, providing leadership across all City operations. In Blue Lake’s lean staffing environment, the City Manager also serves as Director of Public Works, overseeing water, wastewater, streets and parks, while supervising all departments except law enforcement and fire, which are provided by outside agencies.

The ideal candidate is a process-oriented local government leader who values transparency, collaboration and strategic vision. They will bring a balance of administrative rigor and public-facing leadership—ensuring fiscal health, guiding grant development, supporting staff growth and strengthening community engagement.
