The Municipality of Norristown, seat of Montgomery County, PA, less than 20 miles outside of Philadelphia, seeks an Assistant Director for our Municipal Planning and Development team.
• Hourly Wage: $42.7498

Requirements: Master’s degree or if a bachelor’s degree, have at least five years of related experience. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university in the field of Planning or closely related field.
Summary: Highly administrative work involving managing a broad range of activities that include grant management, zoning and sub-division and land development functions. Work involves the responsibility of assisting the Director of Planning and Municipal Development with coordinating all municipal community planning, economic development, zoning and sub-division and land development activities in the Municipality. Work requires thorough knowledge, skill and ability in every phase of municipal policies and project development, project implementation and administration; assist with development of budgets and Action Plans; proven ability to supervise, support staff and meet deadlines.
