Fulton, MO is a leader in Callaway County. It is the largest city in and the county seat of Callaway County, Missouri. Incorporated as a city in 1859, Fulton is a full-service city providing most utilities and services for its citizens. Under the direction of Fulton’s Director of Administration, the Chief Financial Officer works collaboratively with the City Council and Fulton’s executive team to provide strategic leadership to the organization, advance special projects and initiatives, and collaborate with department and agency heads to achieve the City’s objectives. The Chief Financial Officer is a full-time position responsible for all financial aspects for the City of Fulton. Primary functions overseen include accounting, budgeting (operating and capital), accounts payable, investments, cash management, debt administration, and payroll. Familiarity with GASB requirements and “local government” accounting software is a plus. Preferred requirements are a Master’s degree in accounting or finance, 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in local, state or federal government or utilities, including 5 years as a supervisor. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business/public administration or a related with 5 years of supervisory experience. Any combination of experience and education that provides candidates with the required qualifications may be considered.
