The City is seeking a skilled, creative professional to support long-term and emerging priority projects and programs in the Police Department. As a key member in this fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic office, the Principal Management Analyst will be responsible for management of substantive long-term programs in addition to shorter-term deliverables such as policy, best practices or legislative research and writing, policy development, grant funding, budget, and program management. The Principal Management Analyst will work closely with the Chief of Police and Deputy Chiefs as well as the City Manager's Office, Mayor and City Council members, and will possess a high degree of professionalism, public sector acumen and capacity to manage an evolving workload. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and ethical values, high competency in oral and written communications, the ability to compose concise and informative presentations, an inspiring teamwork focus, motivational leadership abilities, and a set of technical skills to support the duties of this position.
