Overview

ICMA & The Professional Development Academy presents a free training in December for personnel involved or interested in cybersecurity measures, risk assessment or data protection.
Cyberattack Simulation

As we wrap up National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, managing cyberthreats remains a continuous priority for local governments. ICMA, in partnership with The Professional Development Academy, has a no-cost virtual training resource available in December for personnel involved or interested in cybersecurity measures, risk assessment, or data protection.

People are among the weakest links when it comes to cyber defense. Knowing people are the perimeter of our defense, this simulation focuses on employee resilience – providing insights into policies, procedures, and practices that you can immediately implement to increase your organization's cyber risk readiness.

The simulation is a week-long tabletop exercise helping risk managers and cybersecurity professionals evaluate current readiness state, develop and refine a playbook, and identify gaps in preparedness for a cyberattack.

The simulation can be accessed virtually from anywhere at the convenience of participants’ schedules (45-60 minutes a day).

SPECIAL DISCOUNT!

Organizations that register for this free Cyberattack Simulation qualify for a buy-one-get-one opportunity for the ICMA Cybersecurity Leadership Academy.
