The Cities of West Des Moines, Clive and Urbandale, Iowa each ran their own public safety dispatch centers. Clive and Urbandale lack the funds to upgrade their systems, so the two cities partnered with West Des Moines to create the Westcom Dispatch Center, a joint dispatch center that handles all public safety calls for these three cities.
