The Squad Program reduces overall costs of providing emergency medical care in an area of high medical call volume while still providing a fire apparatus with personnel for higher risk and more labor intensive incidents. To achieve these ends, the Arlington Fire Department placed a small, lightweight vehicle into service to respond to emergency calls for service.
