The Project SAFE (Survive A Fire Emergency) is a program centered around educating residents on the importance of smoke alarms and fire safety. Completed in two phases, Project SAFE, first put its efforts behind a citywide awareness campaign about fire prevention and safety practices. The second phase of the program targeted the most at-risk residents. The City provided those individuals with door-to-door alarm installations, a fire safety assessment, and educational fire safety information.
