The mission of No Kill Manatee County, Animal Services, is to save as many animals as possible by achieving a 90% save rate. The county is working to ensure pets are given a second chance, primarily through adoption programs. Saving pets will also be accomplished in cooperation with other animal welfare organizations, animal shelters, the media and the public through methods such as enhanced family pet retention, returns to the pet’s family, increased fostering and adoption, free and low cost spay and neutering and a feline TNR (trap/neuter/return) program.
