In an effort to attract more tourism and business the City of Montrose, CO developed a website which would serve as the, “virtual front door”, of the community. Within the first year of its creation website activity increased dramatically and it received national recognition from the City-County Communications & Marketing Association and the National Association of Government Webmasters. The website streamlined all community sites into one place with a consistent design and navigation, making it user friendly while allowing each community group to maintain its own autonomy.
