The Regional Afghan Municipalities Program for Urban Populations, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, assisted the Herat Construction Department by modernizing its approach to controlling the quality of municipal building projects. RAMP UP West helped staff develop monitoring and quality control plans and provided them with essential tools. As a result of the program's efforts, construction staff gained the knowledge and resources to monitor their work effectively. ICMA was a member of the RAMP UP team.
