The final report documents local government policies and practices in conducting community outreach and education about brownfields and brownfields redevelopment in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Bridgeport, Connecticut. Based on input received from local officials, community residents, and other stakeholders interviewed during the study, highlights strategies for improving communication and public participation in brownfields redevelopment planning. Presents community residents’ perceptions of decision making by the local governments plus the local governments’ perceptions of community participation.
