Social media is changing the world in which we work, socialize and govern. The rapid adoption of mobile devices, social networks, and cloud based services is changing citizen behaviors as they now demand 24/7 engagement with government. In order to meet the needs of citizens, the Village of Schaumburg needs a faster means of communication internally to improve business execution. The Chief Administrative Officer/CAO recognized the potential benefits of utilizing social media tools internally to engage employees in formal and informal communication.
