The Arlington Housing Authority is governed by a Board of Commissioners appointed by City Council. It is affiliated with the city through an Inter-Local Cooperative Agreement. One of its most successful programs is the Housing Rehabilitation Program.

The Housing Rehabilitation Program helps non-profit organizations rehabilitate single-family or duplex rental properties located in a designated target area (click here to view current designated target area).

It also helps low-income homeowners to repair and or remodel their homes, to include removal of architectural barriers by installing ramps or widening doorways.

The Housing Modifications for the Disabled and Elderly Program assists low-income individuals and families with housing modifications their home to allow for greater mobility.

The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is a federally funded program designed to help low income households control their energy costs through weatherization of their home and through consumer education.
