Cal-ICMA released its new “Hiring 2.0” Guide at the recent annual conference of City Manager’s Department of the League of California Cities. As a new initiative of the Cal-ICMA Coaching Program, the Hiring 2.0 Guide is aimed at identifying and promoting best practices so local governments can better attract, retain, and develop its talent, especially next generation talent. Most of the best practices are no or low-cost efforts. In addition, each best practice is matched with a resource person from a local government in California who can provide further information. The Hiring 2.0 Guide was developed by Management Partners and is based on its consulting practice.
