The healthcare costs for city retirees were growing too fast to be sustainable, so the City of Olathe designed a new plan.  The goals of the new plan were to curb expenditures while maintaining quality benefits and ensuring high employee morale.  The new plan has saved the city compounding and exponentially increasing sums of money and is expected to continue to do so well into the future.
