In response to increasing criminal activity the City of Fayetteville, NC created the Community Wellness Plan. The program addresses the root causes of crime through the combined efforts of law enforcement officials, social workers, youth groups, housing inspectors and the fire department. Crime Prevention specialists were also brought in to help establish more Community Watch groups.
