The City of Palm Coast, tired of double-digit increases to their health insurance premiums, re-engineered, re-vamped and re-imagined the program. Using a multidisciplinary team approach with representatives from Human Resources, Finance, Purchasing & Contracts, Fire, Utility, the City's EMS Medical Director and the City Manager, the entire program was tossed out and rebuilt. By fixing ALL costs and partnering with a local urgent care center, the City has maintained a competitive benefit offering to employees while holding costs constant.
