This is the 2010 nomination of Polk County, Florida's Polk Growth Matters program for the Community Sustainability Award. County Manager Michael Herr has been credited with developing this program to provide an opportunity for citizen education and discussion of growth management issues along with other current issues in the community. In order to accommodate a variety of individuals, the County has started to offer participation in these meetings via webinar.
