This is the 2010 nomination of Aurora, Colorado's Aurora Campus for Renewable Energy (ACRE) program for the Community Sustainability Award. City Manager Ron Miller is credited with helping develop this program which strives to become a leader in the U.S. for research and development of alternative energy, while also expanding economic development opportunities in the area. Simultaneously, the program provides education to citizens about the benefits of the energy campus.
