The City of Jerome, Idaho, was presented with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The City's 2007-08 Recommended Budget was found to be proficient in all four areas of effective budget presentation as considered by the GFOA: as a policy document, as a financial plan, as an operations guide, and as a communications device. The award represents the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting.
