Not a shabby place to meet in the dead of winter! SC Managers gathered for their Winter Conference at Kiawah Island, just south of Charleston.

With the flooding experiences of last fall, the managers were eager to hear reports from representatives from FEMA, SCEMD, and flood mitigation specialists. A panel of managers discussed their experiences and successful action steps that minimized the natural disaster that struck from Columbia to Myrtle Beach and Charleston.  

All attendees were enlightened and entertained by special guest speaker, ICMA Executive Director, Bob O’Neill. His wisdom and experiences provided the managers with much to think about in their leadership roles and ideas to take back to their organizations. Thanks, Bob!!
