Many public organizations are looking at innovations as a way to improve their procurement processes. Here are a couple of examples:

eVA

The state of  Virginia has built a procurement network called, eVA.  It benefits local governments because it creates a portal for local governments to have access to over 88,000 vendors. This allows communities across the state to get better prices and faster quotes, without having to change their policies.

Pittsburgh Roadmap for Inclusive Innovation

This program is a collaborative effort between other city departments, as well as local innovators and partners. One of the focus areas of this program is to improve the city’s procurement process.
