During the past year, ICMA’s strategic partners provided more than $1,579,332 in support of ICMA programs and activities through strategic partner fees, contributions, grants, joint ventures, sponsorships, advertising, and contributions-in-kind. This investment advanced the mission of ICMA to strengthen the capacity of local governments around the world.
Highlights of strategic partners’ contributions to date in 2013 include:
- ICMA-RC’s financial contributions support of professional development, the ICMA Annual Conference, ICMA University, regional summits, “Leadership Conversation” at the Executive Institute for Leadership, awards. emerging leaders, and the Strategic Partner Program.
- Cigna's financial support of the ICMA Annual Conference, expanded content sharing in the Knowledge Network, and the Strategic Partner Program.
- CH2M HILL’s support of the Center for Management Strategies’ research, training, and technical assistance related to collaborative service delivery and sponsorship of three “Reinventing Government” programs, honoring the 20th anniversary of the book by Ted Gaebler and David Osborne.
- Esri and ICMA launched the #LocalGov Technology Alliance to explore the world of big data, open data, apps and dashboards, and what it all means for local governments.
