Is your partner attending the ICMA Annual Conference for the first time? The ICMA Partners Scholarship Program annually provides a monetary stipend plus complimentary registration to assist a few member partners in attending their first ICMA Annual Conference.

Founded in 1992 through a generous grant by the Elwell family in memory of Frances "Babs" Elwell (partner of Vermont Range Rider, Corky Elwell), scholarship fundraising activities have sustained and increased the fund balance to ensure that the program can continue to provide assistance to partners for future ICMA conferences.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013 ICMA Annual Conference, September 22-25, in Boston, Mass/New England. All partners of ICMA members, domestic and international, who have never attended an ICMA conference before are welcome and encouraged to apply.

ICMA’s Partners Program recognizes the significant role that the partner and family play in the success of a local government management professional’s career. Each year, the Partners Program develop relevant content in a relaxed environment for the partners at the ICMA Annual Conference. This single-largest gathering of ICMA partners provides them with a chance to share their experiences, receive valuable information, network, meet new friends and reconnect with old friends. The Partner network has formed strong friendships, mentors and valuable connections on personal and professional levels.

To be considered for this scholarship, the ICMA partner must complete the online application and return it to ICMA by or before the extended deadline of August 9, 2013. You can learn more about the ICMA Partners Program on icma.org.

Please also consider making a contribution to ICMA's Partners Scholarship Program.  Your gift, whatever the amount, can directly help other member partners share in the networking, learning, and fun that is part of the ICMA Annual Conference experience. Contributions can be made payable to ICMA Partner Scholarship Program and sent to ICMA Partners Program, Attn.: Gina Anderson-Ford, 777 North Capitol Street, N.E., Suite 500, Washington, D.C. 20002-4201.

We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
