On January 23, ICMA will sponsor a satellite media tour featuring Pat Martel, city manager of Daly City, California, and Scott Hancock, executive director of the Maryland Municipal League. The media tour is designed to generate additional buzz about the Life, Well Run campaign and the 100-year history of ICMA and the local government management profession.

As a result of the tour, it’s possible that your local television and radio station may want to contact you to discuss the local government management profession and the contribution it makes to the community in which you and your residents live, work, and play.

Get up to speed about the progress of the Life, Well Run campaign by listening to the webinar that the campaign hosted on November 18 featuing Bob O’Neill, ICMA executive director; Juniper Korkie, ICMA director of strategic development and digital strategy; and Catherine Smith, Life Well, Run campaign manager. The webinar reviewed how far the Life, Well Run campaign has advanced, covered the campaign resources available to you, walked through our social media strategy, and discussed how you can participate in the campaign.

Sharing the Life, Well Run message in your social media communities is critical to spreading the word about this campaign. We hope that you will engage in the conversations on Facebook and Twitter.
