ICMA, the International City/County Management Association, welcomes The Sports Facilities Advisory|The Sports Facilities Management (SFA|SFM) to its Strategic Partner Program. ICMA’s partnership with SFA|SFM will help local governments learn strategies to leverage new and revitalized sports and recreation assets. Their mission is to improve the health and economic vitality of the communities they serve. Their strategies can help local leadership understand how these facilities can become economic drivers for their communities.

A representative from SFA|SFM participated in the 2015 ICMA Annual Conference planning committee meeting. The 2015 conference, scheduled for September 27-30 in Seattle, Washington, will be the 101st annual conference showcasing innovative and unique solutions to the 21st century challenges local government leaders face.     

ICMA’s Strategic Partner Program was created in 1996 as an access point for private sector participation in ICMA programs and activities.
